ABOUT JAZBA
OUR INSPIRATION
Inspired by the 2012 Delhi gang rape case, Jazba Entertainment has partnered with the non-profit organization, Women In Need (WIN)--an organization that rehabilitates the lives of impoverished South Asian women who suffer or have suffered from sexual assault, HIV/AIDS, leprosy, and the pitfalls of poverty. Through hosting a variety of fundraising and non-fundraising events throughout the year, Jazba Entertainment supports WIN and raises awareness for South Asian women empowerment and South Asian culture in the Twin Cities community.
the competition
Our largest event of the year is Jazba: A Bollywood-Fusion Dance Competition, an annual, inter-collegiate Bollywood-Fusion dance competition held at the University of Minnesota. The event features the top Bollywood-Fusion dance teams from across the nation going head-to-head for the crown of Jazba Champion. Jazba Entertainment educates the University community about South Asian culture, fosters a sense of community with other universities across the nation, and encourages University of Minnesota students to look beyond themselves and help those in need.
DANCE.
A style of art that allows for much creativity and expression, Jazba Entertainment seeks to provide an enormous stage for dancers to share their art with the world. Jazba Entertainment offers a chance for the surrounding community to engage in an integral part of South Asian culture.
PASSION.
We always put our best foot forward and are fully dedicated to our work. By adopting such an ideology, Jazba Entertainment boasts a unique blend of tenacity and love for every endeavor we encounter.

Jazba Entertainment strives to drive change in the lives of impoverished South Asian women by spreading awareness about the major issue and raising significant funds for the non-profit organization Women In Need.
